Our Mission
GORMLEY MISSIONARY CHURCH is a body of Christ-followers who exist to honour God through Service, Worship, Outreach, Discipleship, and Fellowship, thus enabling people to find wholeness and peace in Christ, as we proclaim and manifest the power of His name to our community and the world.
SERVICE
It is our desire to serve God by using the talents, abilities and gifts that he has given us. We believe that God has called us to do this in a way that demonstrates his love and reflects his image in a hurting world.
WORSHIP
It is our desire to develop an environment in which people will be able to whole-heartedly participate in celebration of God, as well as receive instruction from the Word of God and pray for one another, for our community, and for our world.
OUTREACH
It is our desire to proclaim Jesus into our community rather than simply inviting people to attend our fellowship. We want to carry out Jesus’ Commission to his followers, to take his Word to all people – to our community, our city and our world. We believe that everyone needs to know God’s love and to experience a relationship with Jesus.
DISCIPLESHIP
It is our desire, with God’s enabling, to effectively and rightly present and teach God’s Word. Combined with our desire to model Christian living, we want others to become equipped to serve Jesus wherever they may be in the world.
FELLOWSHIP
It is our desire to build up and encourage one another in the faith and life, and in so doing to develop an awareness of the presence of the living Jesus in our lives. As a part of God’s family we desire to live, serve, and worship in unity, with compassion, so that Jesus Christ would be evident in our midst.
