Dr. Paul Pascoal
Dr. Paul Pascoal has a heart for people and for the church of Jesus Christ. He offers his gifts of leadership and teaching to our congregation and has been on staff since July 2012.
Paul was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. Paul is married to Rute. They have three daughters: Rebeca, Sally and Priscila. He enjoys movies, soccer (Sporting Club de Portugal & Toronto FC), hockey (Go Leafs Go!) and he is trying to understand baseball (Go Jays Go!).
Paul has been a pastor for over 25 years, having been a part of Billy Graham Ministries in Portugal and president of the Baptist Theological Seminary in Lisbon. Paul recently received his doctorate at Tyndale University College and Seminary in Toronto, Canada. Paul has a passion for establishing missional communities and both his life and pulpit messages communicate a desire to connect the church of Jesus Christ with the surrounding community.
Paul’s determination and drive to connect with those who have not begun the journey of following Jesus and to break bread with those who have never stepped into a church, has led to people outside of the congregation referring to Paul as ‘their pastor’. The Gormley Church family is grateful for the leader and shepherd, who is Dr. Paul Pascoal.
Billy Mintsopoulos is a graduate of the Teen Challenge program. After a 12-month internship, followed by a year as Intake Assistant in the Teen Challenge’s Central Intake Office, Billy joined the Gormley Church team. Billy has begun the process of training to become a Christian leader under the supervision and instruction of Pastor Paul. Billy loves to worship God through music and media creation and is the Coordinator of the Praise & Worship team at Gormley Church.
