Join your Gormley Church family for an evening of prayer and worship. The Prayer Vigil begins at 7 PM and this is an opportunity to reflect, listen and bring our requests, hopes and dreams for our community — to a Father God who listens, cares and loves us. If the future of Gormley Church and the lives of your church family have been on your heart recently, please join us in entering God’s presence to encounter his comfort, assurance and healing.
If you require transportation, please contact the church office at your first opportunity.
It is ‘that time of year’ again. Well actually, it was that time of year earlier this month for our annual spring Work Bee, but it was necessary to reschedule. Save the date for a Work Bee at Gormley Church!
It is time to sort out the clutter which collected over the course of winter and revitalize the church we love, both inside and out. Raking, wiping, repairing and trips to the Richmond Hill garbage collection site await us, but it will be a time to enjoy each other’s company and honour the property God has given us to be a beacon for Jesus in Richmond Hill. Breakfast at Famous Sam’s Restaurant in Gormley, ON at 8 AM!
Continuing in our Marriage Course series, led by our Dr. Paul Pascoal and produced by the Alpha Course ministries; our couples are invited once again to a spectacular and delicious potluck meal at Gormley Church.
Listening is a vital skill for a strong marriage! This month’s theme is “The Art of Communication”. Look for the sign-up sheet in the Gormley Church foyer this Sunday, sign up your spouse and yourself and please prayerfully consider inviting other couples from within your family, friends and neighbourhood!
Father’s Day Service
“As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.” (Psalm 103:13)
Join your Gormley Church family on Sunday, June 18 and get ready to celebrate Dads! Be prepared to take it a step further and celebrate the greatest Dad of all: the Lord God Almighty who is full of compassion. “How great the Father’s love for us/How vast beyond all measure/That He should give his only son/To make a wretch his treasure.” (Stuart Townend)
A character in Siri Mitchell’s novel “She Walks In Beauty” muses, “When I was a child, Mama had the best voice of all the members of the church. She had loved to sing. Her words had soared like an angel’s over the swells of the organ. In fact, I now suspected, her entire theology had been taken from the hymnal.”
A hymnal can never replace the Bible as our source for sound theology, but a church hymnal has been the source of joy, a guide to praise, and a tool for teaching theology across generations.
Please accept this invite from Gormley Church seniors to join them for a Hymn Sing and pizza lunch on June 23 at 12 PM. The cost for the pizza lunch, including beverages and side orders is $7.00. Please contact Gormley Church today and let us know you are coming!
Seniors are always invited, welcomed, and loved at Gormley Church.

Saturdays @ Gormley Church, 9:30 – 11:30 AM
Learn conversational English in a fun, comfortable setting and make new friends with weekly ESL classes for adults at Gormley Church.
We begin each Saturday with a topical open session such as learning the national anthem, how to share the time and date and talking about the weather. Everyone will love the super-social coffee and snack break, before sitting down in small groups to practice their conversational English. Learn how to make Canadian dishes such as pizza, chili and muffins and do not be surprised if there are field trips to community events!
There is no cost associated with this program. The sessions are for adults only and no child care is provided.
