Gormley Church Valentine’s Day Banquet

“The oldest known valentine still in existence today is a poem written in 1415 by Charles, Duke of Orleans, to his wife while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London following his capture at the Battle of Agincourt… Several years later, it is believed that King Henry V hired a writer named John Lydgate to compose a valentine note to Catherine of Valois.” – from the History Channel

You don’t have to be a prisoner of war and you don’t have to hire a writer to let your spouse know how much you love them this Valentine’s Day. Instead, bring them to the Valentine’s Day Banquet at Gormley Church on Saturday, February 10. The cost, including a fully catered meal, is $30 per couple. You and your spouse will be blessed with a special program, with other couples, celebrating God’s love.

Contact the church office today to sign up, or visit the sign up sheet after the Sunday Service!

Gormley Church Annual Meeting

“Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.” (2 Cor 13:11 NLT)

Joy, maturity, encouragement, harmony and peace… all characteristics of a church family who love Jesus and are on the journey of following him, together.

Following the morning service on February 25, we are meeting together! Please join your Gormley Church for a light lunch of soup and buns, followed by our annual meeting. Visitors, frequent guests, new members, old members; all are invited to lunch and a discussion centred around our 2017 Gormley Church annual report.

The 2017 Gormley Church Annual Report is available Sunday, February 11. Stay tuned to Gormley Church social media for more info!
